Hairy Situation

Well, we finally did it. IT. The biggest transformation in Wyatt's life has happened. Delila has cut Samson's hair all off! I really thought that we had bred a non-surfing surfer boy. He had grown to love his long locks over his three years, and while I realized it was getting a little out of control shortly after the nurse ran into our hospital room when Jaxson was born and demaded to know whose little girl had just been in my room. We had a 3 year old boy did we not!? We had a hard time convincing her that the little girl really was our little boy and we were not breaking the "siblings only in the room" rule.

Then, we had a trim at a real hair salon that left Brett in tears over Wyatt's "graduated bob" a few months later. And, there was the incident we shall never speak of again. The one where I cut a snip of Wyatt's hair and he went shit-house crazy, screaming, "Put it back on! You are not my friend! I don't like you! Glue it back on!" Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, while unable to stop sweating in the 113 degree heat, I decided it was obscene to make my kid sweat to death with his long locks. I managed to manipulate Wyatt into wanting a Mohawk and into thinking it was the ecsence of cool. He assured me that Mohawks were "Nasty," and he fretted over what, "...My friends will think. They will think I am ugly". However, I was able to pursuade him and I began chopping away on the bedroom floor. As you can see chronicled below, the day Wyatt became a real boy!!!
